Lameness exams require close observation of the horse in hand and under tack. Flexions as well as diagnostic nerve & joint blocks may be done followed by imaging.

Digital Radiology

Monocacy Equine offers two direct digital imaging machines to use in our clinic and at your farm. Digital radiographs provide immediate, high quality images. Images can be emailed to specialists for consults as needed – for referrals to New Bolton Center, etc.

Digital Ultrasound

Ultrasound provides a non-invasive, reliable and safe way to image soft tissues.  Monocacy Equine uses ultrasound imaging to provide useful information about tendons and ligaments, thoracic, abdominal and reproductive issues. We provide ultrasound exams both at your farm & for ship in clinic appointments.
